Celebrate Walla Walla Wine by exploring and immersing yourself in the World of Syrah. Washington Syrah is often misunderstood, as it is so diverse. There is no one unique Washington style Syrah. Celebrate Walla Walla Wine in the World of Syrah is a three day celebration, tasting and learning opportunity on June 15-17, 2017.
Taste from dozens of different delicious Walla Walla Syrah wines, deciding which ones you like the best. Learn why you like those particular wines and what makes them different from the other Syrahs. Meet their wine makers at tastings and at specially prepared winemaker dinners with gourmet chefs around the Walla Walla Valley.
Syrah is both terroir and wine maker driven. One bottle of Walla Walla Syrah may represent New World characteristics while the next you taste may be decidedly Old World style and the third will refuse to fit neatly in either category! Walla Walla wine makers use grapes from different parts of the state, as well as Walla Walla, and different techniques to create the Syrah wines unique to their wine label.
That is why some people complain it is so hard to sell Washington Syrah, no one can really define it. Here is your chance to not only learn more about Walla Walla Syrah in general, but most importantly find YOUR new favorite specific Syrah wines!
