Is wine making art or science? How much does terroir really matter in wine? How do Washington grapes and wines measure up to classic wine regions? Those are the type of questions best pondered over a glass of wine.

The Local Vine has created a very special opportunity to ponder those questions while comparing Washington wines to other regions. What makes this experience so unique is that you will taste wines made from the same wine maker and the same varietal but from different grape growing regions.

Each tasting will feature a dynamic flight of four wines, two from each winemaker, guided by one of Washington’s wine industry leaders. Each flight will be served blind in order to highlight Washington’s quality and fantastic value.

Our goal is to share and explore the complex flavors of Washington’s amazing terroir as interpreted by the hands of some of the worlds most revered  winemakers. Each tasting will showcase wines, often rare, made from same the varietals and the same winemaker.

The Local Vine will offer a four part series, you can register for one session for $25 or all four for only $80. Each session will run from 6-7pm and participants will receive 10% off additional drink and food purchased that evening.  These will be small and intimate wine tasting sessions, limited to only 12 participants.
