The 3rd Annual South Sound Craft Beer Festival showcases Washington IPAs and seasonal beers Saturday, November 5, 2016. The Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall will house beer lovers as they celebrate THE classic Northwest style beer, the mighty IPA.
India Pale Ale, IPA, is a hoppy, bitter beer. IPAs are often classified into three main categories: American, English and Double/Imperial but there are many sub categories of IPA as well. IPAs are often intensely aromatic and flavorful, and as such, they are an acquired taste for many, but once you develop a palate for IPAs… You might become a hop head too!
IPA maybe the star of the party, but the South Sound Craft Beer Festival is not a one beer show. You can expect to sample a smorgasbord of unique and creative seasonal beers from the 40 Washington breweries participating in this year’s beer festival. IPAs can be a little palate fatiguing and they are not for everyone. Come on over to the malt side of the beer spectrum and see what it has to offer. The Washington Beer Commission will post a festival beer list of about 150 Washington beers for you to drool over in the next couple of days.
