In support of Merlot Gone Mad, a wine festival celebrating Washington Merlot, we sponsored a contest to get people to share their Merlot memories and inspiration. We are delighted to announce the winner is Anne Lomer. She has won two tickets to Merlot Gone Mad at the Tulalip Casino resort on May 2, 2010. Congratulations Anne!
“Some people think that Merlot’s gone mad but nobody rightly believes this is so
Tis the Northwest’s answer to that Guinness cup of molasses, the Irish man’s jo
When reds, rose-a and that fume blanc are starting to mess with you
When your lamb shanks start crying, sticking to the roof of your mouth like congealed glue
Somewhere there’s a chicken lamenting, “enough of this white stuff I think now then that we’re through
Go ahead then and reach for that Merlot and enjoy its hearty delight…it’s a one in a million and debuting at this Dinner Fair’s night……”

My girlfriends and I are Mad about Merlot. Besides our usual get togethers, when our husbands and sons plan their yearly camping trip, my girl friends and I plan our trip to Woodinville for a day of fun, food, and of course, Merlot. We try to schedule our trip around a concert at the Chateau St. Michelle to pack our picnic basket, relax and of course, drink wine.
It’s a great time to catch up with each other’s lives and do our female bonding.
Ticket sales for Merlot Gone Mad are available online. Merlot Gone Mad runs from 3-6pm on May 2, 2010 at the Tulalip Resort Casino. Tickets for this festival of Merlot and Merlot friendly food pairings are only $45.
