EFESTE Rockin’ Sips for LLS

Celebrate wine, love, life, family and fun at the 7th annual EFESTÉ Rockin’ Sips on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Rockin’ Sips is EFESTÉ Winery’s biggest event of the year, featuring a delicious assortment of Washington wine and beer, food and entertainment that is all for a great cause: Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).

rockinEFESTÉ, Long Shadows Vintners and Waters Winery will be pouring their fabulous Washington wines for your tasting pleasure during the evening. EFESTÉ’s Tough Guy Bourdeux Blend release coincides with Rockin’ Sips and is named in honor of Joe Taylor’s brave and successful battle with leukemia at age 5. Tough Guy bottle sales also benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Black Raven Brewing will be pouring their award winning Washington beer for the hop lover and the rumor is there will be Black Raven swag there as well.  Pair your wine and beer with tasty tidbits from Italianissimo, Green Apple Catering, and EFESTÉ’s in-house Old Press catering. It wouldn’t be a “Rockin'” event without tunes! The cover band Soul Siren will be performing live to get the place rockin’ and  Kapchur Us Photography will provide a photo booth to help capture your memories of the evening.

Participants will also have a chance to win fantastic donated items from the winery and other local businesses. The featured “Winemaker for a Day” package valued at $3500 lets a party of two enjoy a private flight to Prosser with EFESTE owners Kevin and Angela Taylor to experience the EFESTE estate vineyards on Red Mountain first hand. Winemaker Peter Devison will offer a tasting of the grapes and the resulting EFESTE wines. Before departing wine country, dine with the EFESTE family at Wine O’Clock Bar and Bistro.

The Rockin’ Sips story begins in 2007 when Joe Taylor, youngest son of winery founders Kevin and Angela Taylor and grandson to Daniel ‘Big Papa’ and Helen Ferrelli, was diagnosed with Leukemia at age five. Following this experience, the family founded Rockin’ Sips to celebrate Joe’s successful treatment and to contribute to more stories of survival. Proceeds from the event benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).©

“It’s really rewarding to share the winery through the causes we’re passionate about,” Angela explains.

Thanks to the support of the community, over $84,000 has been raised for LLS to date through the winery.
