This weekend marks the eighth annual Washington Belgian Beer Fest. Over a hundred Washington beers, brewed with Belgian yeast, will be poured January 28th, 2017 at Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion.
Eight years ago, the first Belgian Fest was held in a small So-Do building where a small number of Washington brewers gathered to show off their Belgian style beers to the local beer lovers. It may have started small but each year, Belgian Fest gains in popularity with brewers and beer drinkers alike. Recently moved to the spacious Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion, the 2017 Washington Belgian Beer Fest boasts over 40 Washington breweries pouring a wide selection of Belgian-style beers:
- Farmhouse Ales
In addition to the classic Belgian style beers, you will also be able to taste some of your favorite beers styles like Stouts and IPAs brewed with Belgian yeast.
Tickets to Belgian Fest include a tasting glass and 10 tasting tokens. Each token is for a 4oz pour and additional tokens will be available for purchase. If you are a WABL member, be sure to bring your passport for two additional tokens and the opportunity to taste a Belgian beer brewed just for WABL members. Food will be available to purchase from Bread & Circuses, Lumpia World and Hallava Falafel.
