The 9th Annual Seattle Beer Week is tapped on May 4th, 2017 with it’s traditional tour of kick off parties around the Seattle area. What follows is an exciting and eclectic celebration of beer through Sunday May 14th. This year the official Seattle Beer Week Beer is Bale Breaker Brewing Co Fresh Off the Farm IPA.
The official kickoff party is starts at 4:30pm at Flatstick Pub in Pioneer Square where the fun starts at 5:00 pm when the Seattle Beer Week crew will be reading the Beer Week proclamation and we will be tapping the first keg of SBW #9, Fresh Off the Farm IPA from Yakima’s own Bale Breaker. Bale Breaker Brewing staff will be on hand to join the party of brews and games.
- Kickoff party #2 is at Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle from 6:30-7:30 where 16 casks of Seattle beers will be on the bar
- Kickoff party #3 is between 7:45-8:45 at Brouwer’s Cafe in Fremont
- Kickoff party #4 is at Naked City between 9-10 is serving beers from breweries from within the Seattle city limits.
- Final kickoff party is at the Pine Box on Capitol Hill from 10:30-2:00am

Saturday May 6, 2017 3- 7 pm Ice Cream & Beer Pairing at Bluebird Ice Cream & Brewery in Greenwood for sampler trays of mini beer floats.
Sunday May 7, 2017 11 am – 3 pm The Hop & Hound is hosting Donuts, Beer and Bothell. They will be preparing four donut and beer pairings for you to try!
Monday May 8, 2017 6 – 8pm Cheese and Beer Pairing at Urban Family Brewing. Expertly paired cheeses with some cellared beers and new releases!
Monday May 8, 2017 6 – 10pm Hair of the Dog & Firestone Beer Dinner at Burgundian features a seven course meal with a beer pairing from each brewery.
Sunday May 7, 2017 2 – 5 pm Firestone Walker Jeffers Drops Acid (knowledge) about wild fermentation at TeKu Tavern downtown. Tickets available online.
Wednesday May 10, 2017 6-8pm Fremont’s Beer Education Class at Fremont Brewery West, the new facility in Ballard. Tickets are required, check the brewery website for details.
Friday May 5, 2017 Barrels to Growlers at Stogies N Hops features 12 barrel aged beers available on tap. Buy them by the pint or the growler.
Saturday May 6, 2017 8 – 12 pm 5th Annual Barrel Aged Beer Party at Grizzled Wizard in Wallingford. Enjoy barrel aged beers in flights or in single samples.
Sunday May 7, 2017 6 – 9 pm The Pine Box is hosting Barrel Masters. Enjoy Barrel Aged Beers with with Firestone Walkers Director of Barrel Works Jeffers Richardson and the crew from Holy Mountain brewery.

Thursday May 11, 2017 all day Annual Sour Fest at Brouwer’s Cafe features sour beers from all over the world with a tap take over. One of my favorite Seattle Beer Week events, I always take the day off work for this one. Make sure to ask if they have special menu pairings for sour beer fest.
Friday May 5, 2017 all day Annual Underberg Back in Black Stout Fest at Brouwer’s Cafe features 40 stouts from all over the world.
Saturday May 13, 2017 all day Lights Out Imperial Stout Showcase at Thirsty Hops in Kirkland will have specialty Imperial Stouts on tap.
