Washington Brewers’ Festival Father’s day weekend 2010

The Washington Brewers’ Festival is an annual celebration of Washington craft beer. Held on Father’s Day Weekend, this beer festival is designed for the serious beer geek and the weekend beer drinker. Friday night starts small in terms of the number of brewers and in the quantity of special one-off beers on tap. If you are a beer connoisseur, you want to be sure to get to the Festival on Friday evening to enjoy the unique brews available. Saturday and Sunday, more breweries and more beers take part, creating a big festival for beer lovers and those that love them. In other words, in addition to more beer;  there are kids activities, music, cider, wine and soft drinks to enjoy throughout the festival. Friday night is adults only, but families are welcome on Saturday and Sunday.

This year there are even more ways to enjoy your beer. Check out the beers at the brewery tables under the festival tents or check out the new roving beer cart. The Buzz Cart is a roving beer bar that will travel amongst the beer tents with a  premium beer every 2 hours. Each beer is a 1/4 bbl or 1/6 bbl and once it’s gone, it’s gone. These special Buzz Cart beers cost 2 tokens per 5.5oz taste.  Sometimes a beer sample just won’t do and you want a full pint to savor.  Four to five rotating taps of Washington beers will be available by the pint in the adult-only Beer Garden.

Beer Line Up

Over fifty Washington breweries will be pouring at the Washington Beer Commission’s Washington Brewers’ Festival. In addition to the Washington breweries, select breweries ( ie. Firestone Walker  and New Belgium) from around the nation will be participating on Saturday and Sunday. Here is the list of Washington breweries and the anticipated beers to be poured. Breweries with a single asterisk* will be pouring on Friday night as well as Saturday and Sunday. Beers with a double asterisk** will only be available on Friday night.
