Tis the Season for Chocolate and Wine (and BEER) – UPDATED

I hope you made the desired progress on those New Year’s resolutions because February is the month to celebrate with Chocolate, Wine and Beer in Washington state!

From Enumclaw to Wenatchee to Walla Walla, there are chocolate, wine and beer festivals for you to enjoy this month. Every weekend brings at least one event where wine and chocolate play a starring role. Although the red wine and chocolate is a famous pairing, don’t under estimate the allure of  beer and chocolate pairing. Event list UPDATED.

Red Wine and Chocolate at EB Foot WineryBurien

Enjoy dozens of chocolates along with our current and newly released red wines. We will be sampling all red wines including the new releases. Get your Valentine or a friend or two and drop in during these hours, no reservations needed! The winery will be chilly so dress warmly and casually.
Scheduled for release: 2007 Merlot, 2008 Northwest Duet, 2008 Perfect a Trois. $10 tasting fee (cash only) applies towards bottle purchase. February 10 5-8pm, February 11 11-8pm, February 12 11-6pm, February 13 12-6

Cabtastic Valentine’s WeekendWoodinville

Join Airfield Estates for a delicious Cabtastic tasting event. Taste a variety of Airfield’s Cabernet Sauvignons & delicious chocolate treats. Futures of the ’09 Cab & Aviator will available for purchase.  And receive a rose with any four bottle purchase! February 12-13 12-6pm.

Chocolate and Wine Pairing

Northwest Cellars will be pairing 5 of our wines with amazing hand-made chocolates from Brugge Chocolates in Redmond. You will be able to taste each of the chocolates with the wines, and we will include a chocolate with each bottle of wine purchased. Who can resist ? February 12 & 13

For the Love of Chocolate and Wine – Kent

Castle Bridge Winery is offering a unique wine experience. $35 ticket price (individual or couple)  includes: Everything you need to bottle two bottles of wine, personalized labels, chocolate, three wine tastings and even tax! I Heart You-Red Wine & Dark Chocolate – Woodinville

Convergence Zone Cellars &  Michael Florentino Cellars presents a classic Valentine’s Day combination featuring a variety of red wines paired with dark chocolates featuring Amore Chocolates and Wax Orchards fat free fudge sauce. 10% of wine sales this weekend will be donated to the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Initiative. February 12 & 13

Olympic Peninsula Red Wine and ChocolatePort Angeles -Port Townsend

Self guided tour of seven Olympic Peninsula wineries, $25 for ticket/glass combo for all the wineries or $5 per winery for tasting of wines and paired chocolate. Get your ticket stamped at all 7 wineries and be eligible to enter our gift basket drawing. February 12 & 13

Beer and Chocolate for Charity

It’s the day before Valentine’s Day, so what better way to celebrate than with beer and chocolate? The event will feature pairings of a scrumptious variety of Theo Chocolate and your favorite beers from Georgetown Brewing.  Marcarina Bakery will provide a variety of yummy snacks.  Local bluegrass band, Creeping Time will perform. You can feel good about it, too, while indulging your palate, with proceeds going to charity  Autism Speaks, the nation’s largest Autism science and advocacy organization.

A Chelan Getaway with Wine and Chocolate at Tsillan Cellars -Chelan

Grab your sweetheart and head to Chelan for wine and chocolates at Tsillan Cellars. The gorgeous, Italian-inspired tasting room will feature a $5 tasting fee and complimentary chocolates from noon to 5 p.m. There will also be specials on some of Tsillan Cellars’ most popular wines. February 12-13

We invite you to enjoy Valentine’s Day Weekend in the Rattlesnake Hills of Yakima Valley. Many wineries will be playing cupid that weekend serving wonderful red wines paired with sinful chocolate delights. February 12-13.

Spokane Winery Association has announced their first annual ValenWine Weekend. In the spirit of love, all 18 wineries of the Spokane Winery Association will host a special celebration of wine tasting with Valentine’s sweets. All 18 wineries will feature miniature heart cookies from the Rocket Bakery. Create some new memories Saturday and Sunday (February 12-13) from 11AM – 5PM; tasting fees may apply. Local chef and restaurants will be showcasing the best of Northwest and the world in their sample tastes.  Don’t forget the chocolate!
