Are you ready for the final weekend of Seattle Beer Week 2011? It has been a long, fun and sometimes overwhelming week of beer in Seattle. I can’t count how many times that I wish I could have cloned myself and be at two or more Seattle Beer Week events at once. But it isn’t over yet baby, this weekend is packed with beer activities to cheer up your Memorial Day weekend, regardless of the weather! Here our some of our suggestions for your Seattle Beer Weekend, focusing on Washington beers with a wee bit of crazy thrown in.
One of my favorite events of past Seattle Beer Weeks has been Bodacious Beverages at Beveridge Place Pub. It doesn’t matter if you like your beers fruity, sour, hoppy, woody spicy or boozy you can find a flight of beers to entice you. Because the beers come in flights, the secret to Bodacious Beverages is to bring a group of friends so you can each get a flight or two and pass them around. You know where we will be this afternoon!
Naked City is keeping Pr0-Am in the house. Naked City staff teamed up, in teams of two, to brew with brew master Don Webb. Stop by the brew pub tonight to taste the six beers these Pro-AM teams created.
Night of the Living Nanos brings three of Washington’s smallest brewers to Piper’s Creek Pub. Taste the results of what happens when brewers concentrate all of their time and attention on these small batches in their nano breweries.
Firkins on the Bar of your favorite Maritime Pacific beers with a little something special. That special something includes dry hopping, bourbon barrel aging and infusions.
I love to cook with beer and Saturday I am going to spend some time with like minded folks. Swap recipes while chomping on beer infused tacos at Epic Ales. Cody specifically crafts his Epic Ales beers to enhance meals, come taste what he does with tacos from 12-4.
Beer and sports go together. Beer and fun go together so you knew it was only a matter of time before someone came up with the CAN-Tathalon Beer Olympics!
It’s all about fun and funky at the Night of the Funk at Brouwer’s Cafe. Drink some funky beers and listen to some funky records.
The eagerly awaited grand opening of The Yard Cafe coincides with closing party for Seattle Beer Week. Celebrate your Memorial Sunday with tacos, beer, sun and friends!
Looking for a graceful ending to your Seattle Beer Week? Free BBQ and liver testing at Fremont Brewery on Sunday afternoon. Oh yeah, there will be beer. I did say a graceful transition 🙂
The final dinner of Seattle Beer Week is a doozy. Come celebrate the competition and cooperative spirit in the Beer vs Wine dinner at the Waterfront Seafood Grill with Pike Brewing.
How will you celebrate Seattle Beer Week this weekend?
