Fremont Oktoberfest

Fremont Oktoberfest 2011 is more than just a mere beer bonanza, it is a full weekend celebration of wacky fun. Although it is probably best known for the Brewfest (tasting garden). Fremont Oktoberfest offers activities as diverse as Texas chainsaw pumpkin carving to a Street Scramble to the ever popular Buxom Beer Garden. Fun events are planned for the entire family, even the dog!

Dogtoberfest

Dogtoberfest is Sunday Sept, 25. Most brewfests prohibit dogs, but on Sunday, you can bring your dog into the tasting garden portions of Fremont Oktoberfest 2011. You can run along with your furry four legged canines during the Brew Ha Ha 5k run or have your dog work with you on the Street Scramble. Do you think you have the best looking dog around? Bring your Fifi and Fido to the CityDog Magazine Cover Dog Model Contest on Sunday.

Beer

beer_steinDid I mention the beer? You will find lots of different beer and lots of different ways to consume that beer at the Fremont Oktoberfest. The Fremont Oktoberfest Village is free and open to ages. Nested within the Village is the Beer Tasting Garden, which is 21 and over and requires paid admission. The Tasting Garden is composed of beer tasting booths, themed lounges where you can sit and enjoy beer pairings, music, sports, photo booths and more and the Buxom Beer Garden where you can enjoy German beer in 16oz, 1/2 liter or full liter steins! (Please drink responsibily, use a designated driver or cab.)

Forty different breweries will be pouring a fantastic assortment of beers. Come sample beers from down the street (Fremont Brewery), from across the sound (Sound Brewery), from across the mountains (Roslyn Brewery) from across the country (Samuel Adams)  and from around the world (St. Pauli Girl). There will also be cider and wine available for a change of pace. Here are more details on the Washington Breweries pouring at Fremont Oktoberfest 2011
