Davenport Cellars Grand Opening
Davenport Cellars is celebrating its grand opening this weekend. Come and visit them this weekend in their Woodinville tasting room and production facility from 1-5pm. They are located in the Woodinville Warehouse district, right next to Des Voigne, at 19501 144th Ave NE, Suite B600, Woodinville, WA 98072.
Davenport Cellars Grand Opening
Meet Jeff and Sheila Jirka the winemaker/owners of Davenport Cellars. They will be pouring three wines for you:
- Rose of Cab Franc
- The Snowflake – Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion blend
- Syrah
I am a big fan of The Snowflake and I am not the only one!
This white Bordeaux blend is exceptionally balanced. It has lovely fruit offset by bright but far from overwhelming acidity. Aged in stainless steel and with malo-lactic fermentation discouraged, this wine maintains the cool, crisp and refreshing flavors of the grape. Jeff has shown a great deal of respect for the grapes here, using the blend to bring out the best characteristics instead of using a heavy hand in the processing.
